The Leadership Development Programme (LDP) is intended to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values required to operate confidently as Workplace Leaders and to respond to the challenges of the economic environment and changing world of work.
After completing the LDP, the participant will:
* Have sound safety leadership skills.
* Understand the company's core behaviour requirements for sustaining a high performance culture.
* Be able to motivate and energise others.
* Be capable of functioning beyond traditional leadership paradigms.
* Be equipped to effectively manage performance,
* Be able to create a culture of learning and continious improvement.
Duration
The Leadership Development Programme is delivered as a 3 by 2 week study school programme.
Between study schools, the participants will be required to:
* Complete workplace activities for the Portofolio of Evidence.
*Implement and document a business improvement project.
* Attend 3 by 1 day facilitator/ assessor progress evaluation sessions.
Approximately 6 weeks after the 3rd study school, the participant will:
*Deliver a formal presentation on the selected business improvement project to EXCO and management members.
Accredited Qualification
Upon successful completion of the programme, the participant will be awarded with the National Certificate: Management NQF Level 3 (SAQA Reg. 23654)
